Frequently asked questions

How many tripods do I need?
We recommend spacing tripods approximately 1,500mm apart across the area to be screeded. For a 3m x 4m room you'd typically need around 6–8 tripods.

What's the minimum screed depth these work with?
Unlike many competitors, our tripods screw all the way down to floor level, making them suitable for very shallow depths that other tripods can't accommodate.

Can they be reused?
Yes — clean the tripod immediately after removal before the screed sets, paying particular attention to the thread. Lubricate the thread periodically and they'll last for many pours.

Do I need a laser level?
We strongly recommend using a laser level to set all tripod discs to the same datum. It's the most reliable way to achieve a consistent floor level across a large area.
