What is the hammered edge profile?
The hammered edge is a flat bar top rail with a textured, forged appearance. It gives a traditional wrought iron look and is one of our most popular styles for period and cottage-style properties.

How does the adjustable pivot base work?
The pivot base bolts to the ground and contains a pivot joint that allows the post to be angled in any direction. This means the rail follows the slope of your steps precisely rather than sticking out at an awkward angle.

Can I get a custom length?
Yes — contact us via our Quotes page and we'll fabricate to your exact specification.

What's the difference between this and the concrete-in version?
This rail uses a bolt-down pivot base — ideal where you have a solid path or driveway to fix to. The concrete-in version has posts that are set permanently into the ground, which is better where you can't drill into an existing surface.

Does it come ready to fit?
Yes — the rail arrives ready to install. You'll need a drill and basic tools to bolt the base to your path.
